KLX 250 - Initial Impressions
Thought I'de share some initial impressions...
Firstly, I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs and the bike is pretty much a perfect fit for me. The power seems to be getting better as its getting broken in but I only have 170 km or approx. 105 miles on it. It seems to come alive nicely above 6000 rpm but havent pushed too hard yet during the break in but I suspect the power will be decent for a 250 four stroke.
The suspension on the other hand, although very nice in many ways is definitely not setup for a rider of my size. I've dumped the bike once and had a few close calls - the major reason for this is front shocks that simply bottom out way to easy. I havent tuned it for sag etc yet but am almost 100% certain that suspension upgrades are gonna be necessary for any sort of aggressive riding.
The overall balance and ride is real nice and I easily outpace new Honda 230's and when my brother and I are going ***** out at 65 mph on potholedlogging roadshis Honda XR500 pulls on the straights but is reeled in without too much problem in the corners. Kudos for the Kawi's nice handling at speed.
Thats all for now - hopefully will get some pics posted later showing some Canadian mountain riding!

Yep, it'sa clear case of cyber discrimination, I tell ya! Certain cites just don't like the DNS servers from certain overseas providers. I'm getting the same red X and can't access the site directly either. I get the same problem with promotobillet.com. Either they filter certain blocks of IP addys or they filter out certain domain names that are not on some sort of 'safe' list. If I get many more problems like this, I may have no choice but to change providers.
