Default klx 250 engine wiring help please

hey guys i have 09 klx250sf with blown engine. i bought another motor from 07 klx250s, i already installed the engine and it fits, however there is a problem wiring from stator and some sensor is different. stator has 3 wires coming out on both but the sensor next to it is different. 09 has only one wire coming out where 07 has 3. also plugs are different as well.

does anyone have ideas. i can replace stator from original engine but the sensor there looks irreplaceable.

i will try to post some pictures later to make this a little more clear

thanks

i think a former member here, cousin larry, had the opposite problem 09 engine in 07 but was able to overcome it. might want to do some searches for his posts/thread on the subject.

I got a 1996 manual, a stator picture in it looks like there is 3 leads leaving the housing..... let me know what you need.
Those wires go to the regulator.
The general info looks like it is pretty close to the 07 I got. The engine pages look identical to the 07 engine. The forks & body parts are different.

Pull the stator cover off the 09 and put it on the 07 motor.

i will do that,

however neutral sensor on 07 has 3 wires and one on 09 just 1.

and it is not replaceable. it seems that 07 3 wire has same color signal wire and the other 2 go to igniter and ties in with crank position sensor.

I was looking at the differences on the 09+ US models and the AUS market(I think they use the old 3 plug ignitor) and it looks like the difference on the pickup is that the early models have an isolated ground circuit(2 wire) for the pickup while the US models just use a single wire with a common ground circuit.

The 250E wiring diagram has a single wire to the neutral switch, 3 to the magneto going to the rectifier, and 2 more from the rectifier to power the bike. It has a 2 wire pickup coil from the IC Igniter. Hope this helps.
