Sorry Bill I can't help you on the cylinder, but was wondering if you had looked into taking the stock 250 jug out to 340cc and using the thumper racing piston. I know that there was some talk about it a while ago, but couldn't remember if there was an answer.

Is the 340 bore possible on a sleeved 250 cylinder?

I have paid $75.00 to $125.00 for a cylinder.

I will check with thumper racing tomorrow to see what is required I think the cases need to be bored to accept the larger sleeve.

Seems like some of us have expired the add-on mods for power and are ilookingatthe next step. I'd be interested to learn more about the increased cc option. Please keep the information coming.

The 340 would be a nice option on the 250 cylinder if the 331 sleeve would be the same. At least you could go with the 331 first and when it gets tired and time for a rebuild you could then have it bored to 340. It wouldn't be a total waste of a sleeve job on the 331if you could get 1 over bore out of it.

I talked to Thumper Racing today the sleeve, piston kit & top end gasket kit cost $244.00 + shipping. They say the engine cases don't need to be bored to fit the sleeve.
