Well the EJK works. But the various mechanics who tune them on the dyno hate them.

Keng does flash them with his settings prior to sale so the kit 'works' good enough to be sold and used I guess as most people buying the kits don't have access to a dyno.

But my experience is the bike then had the constant issue of having to be turned on and off every time it stalls with the FI Light coming on red. I had two mechanics deal with the bike and neither could work out how to have it running 100% smooth with the EJK.

The mechanic with the dyno kept telling me to do away with the stupid piggy backs and fit a stand alone ECU and a few other people in the country had done so with the guy on the KLX 355 fitting one and racking up a bunch of miles with no issue.

In the end, I coughed up for my 3rd ECU (I tried ShiftPro ECU also with no luck) and the ApiTech Stand Alone has transformed the bike into more or less a normal smooth running KLX... just with more power.

There's not much info about the KLX with this ECU so I'll do a separate post down the track with whatever info I can provide.

All I can say is I wish I had it fitted from the start so now I'd have a good idea about it

model number is: V8.9MK0201R2068

Haven't found any EFI that actually works with big bore!

only without first plate.. bore is 78mm so it is 292cc - like KTM 390.. is only 374cc or so...
AHL markets two kits, a 292cc kit and a 299cc kit. The 292 kit will not fit the KLX. As for displacement, I don't know. They could be using the same piston in both kits or it could be a slightly smaller bore. But that is irrelevant, the important part is the AHL 292cc kit will not fit the KLX250 engine, the 299cc kit does.

Not clear what you mean. In this thread there are at least 3 working solutions for 300cc kit - 1) bigger injector 2) ejk 3) apitech ECU

Actually any piggyback which can manipulate injector will work. I for example use local Indonesian piggyback called "fuel adjuster" which btw costs only $30.

They put "299" mark on the cylinder, but it's not clear what it is. Maybe not cc.

Are you able to provide more info on the Indonesian piggyback? I wonder if it would work with a North American market fuel injected KLX250.

You are right, it just says 299 on it, but the point is that if someone reads AHL 292cc they might buy the wrong kit. ±7cc isn't a big deal, but a kit that doesn't fit is a problem. The AHL kit that fits the KLX250 is the one they list as a 299 kit, regardless of actual displacement.

See my post above. The Apitech standalone ECU works flawlessly on my 330. The stock kawasaki ECU is removed altogether and replaced with the ApiTech

Several people asked about piggyback I use in my bike. So I made a video. Software on the phone doesn't work perfectly, but with couple back and forth it does the job.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video TSC. This device is just spliced in between the injector, correct? It would be nice if they could supply it with the correct connectors but for the price you really can't complain.

You mentioned that you tunes the bike on a Dyno, what power and torque did you bike make? Can you post the Dyno curves?
