I'm not sure what else it would be. I noticed if I'm going down hill and I'm not using the throttle much except for engine braking or just maintaining speed the bike seems to be a little gutless if I roll back into it. Maybe I'm just being hyper critical. I just notice sometimes things feel quirky.

Also, if the power is improved or optimized by doing the MCM it could be safe to say that other less than ideal areas of the RPM range might feel worthless when in reality they aren't. I just wish I had access to a dyno so I can really tune this S.O.B. I have faith in the mod, the dynos other guys have done proved it.

I'm just not sure where I'm at as far as mixture goes through the power band. I'm going to cruise it for a few days and feel it out. I just want perfection!

Your current settings ( #132, lid off, clip 1 notch lower on needle) are the best that can be had with the CV and the DJ kit anywhere near sea level - and Dyno tests show it's still too lean. (14.2:1 max AFR) Only thing I can do to help us fuel these uncorked MCM bikes correctly is to test a DJ #134 main jet with various needle positions.

Sidebar: CMott is uncorked MCM @ 2000 ASL and I figured he would be about perfect with Standard Stage 2 + the #132 , sure enough, he replaced the #128 with the #132 and got the big HP boost ....

Not so sure about that now. I finally got to ride it on some single track. Bad bog in the lower RPM. It had very poor lower power. stalled it quit a few times. when climbing some moderate trails at a steady throttle, Maybe 1/4 throttle it would pop and stutter. The tail pipe is black. going to try to lower the needle.

How high up did you go on that trail ride ? I'd like to know at what altitude things get too rich/fat... If no altitude change then what else could have changed ?

So, from your previous posts, she runs fine @ 2k but, from your trail ride, too fat as you get closer to 3k... Good knowledge to have.

If you can extend to 3k or better with a quick needle clip change, that will be invaluable knowledge as well.

To be clear I have nothing under 4k. I can coast at 4 k but I can throttle up and nothing...not so much a big just nothing.
I'm assuming that was normal.

I'm at about the same height that you are and my settings are, 128 main, middle clip, kdx snorkel, stock exhaust with the end cap drilled. marcelino mods. Bike runs excellent, I've tried dgr muffler (too loud), I've tried lid off, snorkel off, caused excess vibration. And I tried all those settings with my needle at both the 3rd and 4th clip position, my bike runs best at my current settings, my bike had a big bog on the 4th clip and wouldn't accelerate cleanly from lower rpms.

Did you do the regulator ground fix? That was definitely an issue on my bike.

What years does the "regulator fix" fix or is it case by case?

I don't think it's a specific concern to me but it's nice information to know.

Yes i did the regulator fix.
When I first did the mod, I had the lid off and 128 main clip 3 down. Didnt seem to pull so I put the 132 in. Made a huge diference, but the noise is getting to me and I bought the KDX snorkel.
I will be trying the 128 again to see. Also, my signature was wrong. clip is second slot from the top because it was bogging bad between 3 and 4k

I have time to play with it.

I`ll post back
