Extremely sorry to derail this thread guys, but I'm sitting here with my carb apart and trying to decide which main jet to throw in. I'm installing the 351 kit, keeping the stock pilot needle, and doing all of the airbox mods(lid off backfire screen removed). What do you guys think? I live in Ohio. (average 900ft above sea level)

Thanks and sorry again. Dynojet needle advice would be nice as well.

Also note that I have a HMF slip on exhaust.

The biggest DJ is #132 I recall. Just fit that one for now and go with the DJ needle setting recommendation.

That's correct. Will I be okay to run the 132 with stock 250 and air mods until I install the 351 kit?

Yes. I have a #138 OE main jet and mines 250cc. That's about the same as a DJ #132 main jet.

More so because you have dyno access and can confirm experimentally the changes, which would be unbelievable otherwise. Lucky you, now I must arrange to get dyno access too...

Now, where's the poll for GOTM
Thank you . I was thinking about this mod for some time now , I did it 2 -3 weeks ago , I tested the bike for 2 weeks : town , mountain , highway . This is how I realized you have to move the ACR as well , if you donīt , itīs damn near impossible to start the bike when hot . Then 3 days ago I went down to Valencia and paid 50 euros for a dyno run to see exactly how much better was " better " .

I don't think that's correct WestOzKLX - this is the conversion table I know of:

Keihin Jets -------- DJ Jets
132.5 ------- 124
135 ------- 126
137 ------- 128
140 ------- 130
142.5 ------- 132
145 ------- 134
147.5 ------- 136
150 ------- 138
152 ------- 140

It seems like it wouldnt be much at all.
The the ACR would be no problem.
10 degrees at the crank is only 5 degrees al the cam . When you take out the sprocket and put it 2 teeth ( to the left if you are doing intake ) the threaded holes of the camshaft are partly visible trough the other holes in the sprocket ( EX holes if you are doing the intake cam ) .
To answer one of your doubts from below :
If you are using an adjustable sprocket it still rotates the ACR , you rotate the cam remember ?

With the Australian spec. ignitor the bike should behave much better in the higher range of the RPM , the power will probably keep on climbing untill 9000 or a little more , not quit just before 8000 like the "max25" units do .
In the US you can get 89 , 91 and 93 gasoline at a regular gas station ( as far as I remember ) . In Europe you can get 95 and 98 . Whatīs the situation in Australia ? , what kind of gasoline you can get at a regular gas station ?
600 buks is out of the question , somehow getting my hands on a used unit ....
