Do it!.

I've been thinking about that myself for a while. Nice wet system to add some roost as I pass my mates on their 640's.

Might start by trying one of these on my Goped.

You guys have alot more faith in the skills of the average "mechanic" than i do apparently.

Carry on.

Awesome to see an Aussie willing to do this. If you manage to do it OK, would you be willing to help out with changing the ACR for others?

Honestly i would like to hear more folks reporting power gains that have done this mod. I have read all the threads and i have not heard of anyone feeling this 5 HP gain... Whats up with that? anyone who rejets and opens the snorkle reports a great big grin and wheelies. All i see is a coulpe of dyno print outs.
What does everyone who did it say they FEEL????
I know David was not impressed with his 351 so i think i will back off the mod but who about you 250 owners???

I did it to my 250. Specs are FMF power core, mega bomb, uni filter, and the KLX300 dynojet kit.

Jet kit is setup as instructions say.

I can get the bike to lift the front tire about an inch or 2 and the very end of the RPM range in first gear. 2nd gear would have to be a clutch dump.

Waiting for my friend to do the same mods minus the cam on his bike to have something to ride and compare it to. I will then start messing with my carb to see if i can get anymore out of it. But as of now it doesn't bog down or anything throughout the RPM range. But really don't see much of an improvement.

What airbox setup are you running? I did the mod and have the p bomb ,Q4 dynojet for klx250 132 main needle 3rd clip, screen removed ,k&n and dual snorkels(Kdx and stock) in the lid. I went up from the DJ 128 main after cam mod. The cam mod adds more seat of the pants than did the pipe/rejet. It pulls really well to 8k rpm. As for the bike pulling the front wheel it does well if you go a bit let off then crack it in first the cv carb is the issue here, too slow to react. Anyone else do the mod this weekend?
