Default KLS250SF - American D-Tracker

Howdy everyone.

I just spotted in the Rider magazine that showed up this weekend that there's going to be an American released D-Tracker, called the KLX250-SF, if I recall correctly.

Black 17" wheels, black plastics, otherwise, looks the same as KLX250S.

Laters,

..and its heavier. The specs say 310 lbs. I find it hard to believe that the addition of inverted forks and sport bike tires can be that heavy

The KLX250'S' has always had inverted forks (06 - 09). Yeah, I doubt the wheels and tires would add that much weight.

Maybe Kawi messed-up and actuall released the correct weight. They have been known to be one of the worst offenders when it comes to fudging downward on bike weights.

Sat on one the other day. It looks way smaller. It's definitely a lot lower. The front rotor is HUUUGE! It looks pretty slick. I wonder what the new gearing is like.

Its heavier 4 sure

Footpegs with the rubber

The mirrors

The front brake disc

And the rims appear to be an inch wider at least...

A different rear coil shock as well

Yeah that shifter looked chintzy! Definitely more firm shock.

Yeah, the spring rates are firmer on the new D-trackers. My 2006 was way too soft in front, but Moto pro valves and springs took care of that. It's nice that the suspension on the new ones is pretty much set-up for motard out of the box. ...why aren't there more smileys available in this forum?

Maybe we'll start seeing them show up on the flat track race circuit.
