Took the Klx for its first decent ride today just to see if anything would fall off. It goes really well for a 250. It feels happy at 80 Ks but wound it up to 120 just to see..
It feels to me like the rear shock isn't damping at all.
So it seems I'm now going to learn all about Rear shocks.
Any one got any pearls of wisdom before I get stuck in?

Thanks TNC that's a great resource. A simple explanation of a complicated subject.
I've had a good result today. Took the shock out and removed the spring. I was expecting trashed seals and no oil.
It turns out its fine, both the rebound and comp adjusters were miles out of whack. I took it to a really nice guy in Christchurch at DAS who checked it over regassed it and gave me a pile of his wisdom for 20 bucks.

Just re painted the spring so re assembly and test ride this weekend.
