Default Kenda tires first impression

Well I decided to change my tires in preparation for the NW ride this Saturday. I still can't believe that my stock 603 front had 6200 miles on it. Oh well out with the old and in with the new. From taking the tires off to riding down the road, 1 hour. One thing I noticed right away was the fact that I had to push the bars harder in order to get the bike to turn. And through the turn the bike seemed to want to gyro back to an upright position. It is probably due to two things. One I am running less pressure in these new Kenda tires. My old tires typically ran 30+ lbs I decided to lower the pressure to 25 rear and 22 front. So a lower pressure tire is going to have more friction, and second the compound is a lot softer and of course they are new. All in all I like the feel, just have to get used to them.

LOL if you look real close you can see a rock in between two lugs. I haven't had any rocks stick in the tires for a long time.[8D]

It's easy for Deej. He carries a spray bottle and rags and make stops every 2 or 3 miles to wipe everything down, including his boots! He allso keeps a trimmed down scrubber style door mat in his Pelican case to clean the soles of his boots at each stop.It garners some pretty interestingexpressions from service station attendants

How much tread did you have left? I have about 5900 miles on my original 603 fronts and they still have a lot of tread left.

They actually have probably 35% of the tread left, but I wanted to change both tires as a set. Also I noticed that the 603 has spider cracks around the lugs, better to be safe than sorry right?
