Ken Sean mirror fix

Ken Sean mirror fix
One of the casualties of my ride in the Leaf River DS ride last week was the glass in my Ken Sean folding mirror.
I had it folded down over the gauge cluster, but I dumped the bike and the mirror took a branch to the glass. Today I measured the opening and it was exactly 4". I had an idea that I could find a pre-cut round mirror at a craft store. Finally at the 3rd store I found a 4" mirror. Not exactly what I wanted because it has beveled edges, but for $1.29 I'll live with it.
Took it home and put it in the opening. Perfect fit, I almost couldn't get it out in order to "glue" it in. Put a few dabs of silicone around the inside of the housing and pressed the mirror in.
Back in business.

Monsta, A few years ago I broke one of my mirrors on my old KLR I ended up cutting a piece of mirrored plexiglass I had laying around to fit. (just another idea) This folding mirror measured exatly 4". I think a thinner (standard thickness ) piece of mirror would have snapped right in the opening with out any adhesive. the craft stores had the thinner mirrors but only in 3" or 5" diameters. Figures.
