Keihin corps carb tuning Info
There seems to be a a lot of varying opinions about jetting so I researched Keihin out and found this the sheet. It does say you may need to slightly tune with a perfomance exhaust system.(Full system). Nothing like I read about here.

Deej you should sticky this info because This info is more complete than anything else I have seen on this forum I think it would Help people understand Tuning alot better, even the ones who think they Know what to do. because every bike is different. as wellenviormental aspects of tuning such as elevation, humidity, and ambient outside temprature. It all has to do with how much oxygen in a given volume. like living in a hot humidclimate would definately require richer jetting(less oxygen in air/volume). and living in a moderate temp dryer climate probably would not require rejetting all because of the amount of oxygen in a certian volume of air(more).

Ken,
The information is great, but I don't think that it applies to our CVK 34 carb. I did find something similar for the bigger CVK 40 that helped me understand the CVK carbs.

[&:] Not applicable to our carburetors... Ken, there are a lot of people on here with great experience and knowledge.
You seem to not be accepting of others opinions unless they are a "Kawi mechanic" or an ex-racer or something.
Speaking for myself, I take the information that I get on this boardas much more valuable than anything that a shop mechanic tells me. The people on here (including myself) are experienced riders and wrenchers. There is a wealth of knowledge to be had on this board if you're willing to find it.
Those mechanics working at the dealership generally know almost nothing about our specific machine.
Their general mechanical experience may be great, but they don't ride a KLX250S, so they don't know squat about it.

+1 on what KawiWawi said. Not to discredit Keihin, but it looks like the examples they are using are of vehicles that don't roll off the assembly linewith severly resticting intake and exaust, ala KLX250.
More air and fuel in + a much better flow exhuast = more power..expecially mid-to-top end.
I also wish people would stop crowing the mantra about slip-ons not requiring a rejet...That is only true if you don't open the airbox. If you open the airbox without rejetting, you're asking for engine damage if you don't rejet. Furthermore, why would anyone want to drop a couple of bills on a slip-on, then not open the airbox and give it more fuel to get full benefit?

All I can tell you is that with the setup I have listed on my autosig, the bike runs like a raped ape. It starts instantaneously whether it's cold or hot, doesn't matter if it has been sitting for a week. It idles perfectly cold or hot. No hesitation whatsoever, smooth from idleall the way to redline.Helluva lot more power than stockandreturns as high as 65 mpg if ridden "normally". The plug looks perfect too.
