Default Kawasaki KLX 250s 09

Hi Guys,

I was riding my KLX 250S '09 one day and out of nowhere the back will kinda skid and the bike lost power... until it slowly turned off... I tried turning it back on and within a few tries I was able to started the bike. however after 5 minutes of riding I felt the throttle losing power and when I engaged the clutch it would turn off.. this happened until I was no longer able to turn it on. I have replaced the spark plug I have replaced the battery, I have check for gas, air and spark... I have all in order I dont know what it could be

So far I have taken the top end and cylinder head and sleeve off to see if something was wrong inside... Im nor able to see anything wrong... now I get the feeling that my stater is spinning freely, it seems like is not engaging with the engine to turn it on.... or the engine as no compression... it seems odd to be working and all of the sudden it will stop working...

any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm loosing my mind

I did one...but I'm not sure if the gauge was not working properly cuz the needle wouldnt move at all... as if I had 0 compression....

i would test the gauge with an air gun to be shure.
you could set the piston to tdc and measure the valve clearence to see if a valve is stuck open (will be way out of spec)

I have set the piston tdc and I can hear the valves opening and closing... I'm thinking could it be something related to the starter not engaging properly with the fly-wheel? or it has nothing to do with it?

Maybe I'm better off buying a new engine... do you know where would be the best place to look for one and what price range I'm looking to spend on it?

I'm thinking carb too!
Can you put it back together? Then tear the carb down the same way and boil it in water for an hour, becareful with the bladder. Goggle carb cleaning here.
This sounds stupid, but it's not... check that gas is getting to the carb.

I will do that to see if it helps... what about if I put a bit of gas directly shouldn't I get a run for a tiny seg... because if so... I'm not getting any...
