Deej...you can have mine, no cost. I have K&N on the KLR and pick-up, but the K&N doesn't keep the water out very well (personal issue). I have a Twin-Air, and put a Filter Skin between the box and modified lid.

One of my riding buddies uses the K&N on his KLX with no air box top. He strictly rides off road and at times we ride in really dusty conditions. To my surprise, when I once checked the inside of his air boot when it was out, there wasn't any signs of dirt. Itisless "water resistant" than the foam filters and it can be a pain to get back in. I prefer the Twin Air or Uni filters.

I can only remember one time I had any real trouble with water getting through the K&N. My buddy looked over and all that was sticking out of the creek crossing was the right handlebar my right arm and my right butt cheek. Really can't fault the air cleaner on that one though.

I always run an Outerwears pre-filter on my K&N's and that cuts the maintenance waaay down when in extreme dust......Never had a problem with a K&N ....My atv has logged thousands of miles with one and an outerwears and no prblems whatsoever....They say (the experts) that a foam filter is best for extreme dust but a K&N is best for sand running.......No experience with sand but i've had O problems with the K&N in the extreme dust of the NE. PA. coal mines.....and that is ultra fine coal dust.....I always run a pre-filter though.
