Default K&N Air Filter

I serviced the K&N #KA-1287 air filter today. What a Pain in the A$$. It made we start wondering if I am using the right part. The bottom of the air box is so tight against the filter during install that you have to deform it to get it seated. Anyone else having this problem? I run K&N on everything else with no problems. If no one else has this difficulty, I might have the wrong filter in the right box.

Default RE: K&N Air Filter

how would it work with an OUTERWEARS?????? That's my main question....A K&N would be useless unless i had an outerwears.I was going to get a twinair myself as they have always been on my kawi dirtbikes and this is a new change for me after a 5 year hiatus........k&n or a twin-air?????My atv's all run K&N with an outerwears ...........no issues yet but if space and contact is an issue with this airbox then i will look elswhere.
