Just picked up a 2009 KLX250s (CA MODEL)
Alright... so I jsut moved to California from Florida, sold my 09 KLX back home and just picked up a CA model here... i see the smog canister and all of this crap, and instead of two white hoses going to the tank, theres only one and the other goes to the canister...?
my questions are...
1. How can I remove this crap and does it decrease performance?
2. When I go to put my Dyno Jet Stage 1 kit in is there anything else I need to know or should I just do exactly what I did with my other bike? Is it going to run okay with the re-jetting?
3. Getting my bike past emissions test when I go to register it.. If I re-jet now and put my Megabomb and Q4 on it now will it still pass emissions, or should I just wait?

no smog test for motorcycles in california...you buy, seller does a release of liability, you have insurance, seller gives you pink slip signed and you take the pink slip to dmv (aaa is much faster)...you pay to register it under your name (based on what the price you wrote)
for dyno jet, you should be able to do the same...
i have not removed the emission yet, so no idea on if it does anything really beside make it a pound lighter

Oh, sweet so I can go ahead and re-jet and put my Q4 on without having to worry about it when I go to the DMV to register?
