Just got a Powercore 4 off Ebay. Will I need earplugs?

Naa, you should be fine. It makes a bit of noise when the engine is working hard - especially when you open the throttle when the revs are quite low. But if you keep the revs up, and during cruising, it isn't bad at all. I ride my bike 30 to 40km's a day and have no problems with it.

Thanks Arctra

Looks like ill have to rejet the carb before I install it. Jet kits are around $70. I wonder if I could buy them individually at the dealership and save some cash.

I dunno if you'll be able to save much to be honest, but it's worth a try. I took others advice and went with the Dynojet 2206 kit which is meant for the KLX300 and it works a treat. It's $50 at the moment from JC Motors (http://www.jcmotors.com/p-3416-dynoj...300-97-07.aspx)
