Default Just an observation...

OK maybe I have two heads and don't realize it, but this KLX seems to get very little street respect.

Seems like every time I am out other riders are giving me funny looks and smiles. I expect little respect from the HD cruisers because i wear a helmet and don't wear enough leather and studded accesories and cute fringe. I would understand if i dressed like a clown all geared up. But i usually just wear jeans and a t-shirt. I think I would get more respect riding my sons mini bike or my wifes minivan. (really don't need the respect by the way)

So what am I not getting?

Finally, I don't really care. Its just been my observation. I love the bike and thats all that matters anyway.

i was on a two lane road one day and a fully dressed harly rolled up in the lane next to me and looked over and said "what does that thing weight?" i preced to say 280lbs... he laughs and says " my front tire weights that much" dont expect much while on the street.... but in the woods... a different story.... i have had a ton of people say, " is that street leagal?"!! surprised and looking at it like "i need one of those"

I get nothing but compliments and questions

"Bro that is one bad-*** bike!"

"Hey! I used to have a KLX250r, whats the s for?"

"Did it cost much to add those blinkers?"

Even if it's only 18 HP max in stock, it's still a GREAT looking bike.

I just need to get rid of that rear fender.

I would think a city setting would be perfect for this bike.
