Just did MCM

My understanding from most riders on this and ADVrider, the TM36-68 pumper gives a huge amount of bang for the buck due to direct slide control and the accelerator pump. Replies here when the question was asked - definite change in performance. Even if it isn't a power change, it is a response change.
In every racing situation where it was within the rules racers always swapped out cvs for flat slide cable control carbs. MX bikes always came with them when carbureted.

Lets see now ...
Open Air box (lid off)
K&N Air filter
14/45 sprockets
FMF Powercore 4 with Stock Header (I might go with the mega bomb but not sure if the power is worth the dough)
CA Smog crap removed
CVK34 carb with #40 pilot, DJ0228 needle @ 1N, K152 main @ 2 turns out.
Kreiger Cam Chain tensioner
and now the MCM!
TM36 might be the next upgrade. Debating if I want to wake her a bit more with a BB 351.

Woo! I definitely feel the power in this bike.
Also, my next question might be kind of noobish but .... why does the bike turn off when Im slamming on brakes with the clutch pulled in? I was in a situation recently where I had to suddenly stop then accelerate out of position but my bike shut down when I applied brakes. I had to restart the engine quickly to avoid traffic. It also shuts down when I back into corners?
Is this a safety feature on the bike? Can it be bypassed?

Follow the wires up from the switch at the kickstand pivot towards the top of the frame. There will be two connectors. Disconnect them, then connect the two on the wiring harness side, thereby completing the circuit.
And for the love of all that is good, don't go leaving your kickstand down when you ride off. That's the reason for this safety switch.
