Sooooo...What your saying is I'm OK getting the 04 wheel?

Not necessarily; just that the '09 will not work.
You need to do some research regarding part numbers for axles, spacers and hubs to compare the wheels. What fork/brake was on the '04? Manufacturers like to make subtle changes from year to year, as well as have differences between similar models of the same year, that hamper mix 'n match.
Seems that the '04 300 wheel has not previously been used/tried on "your" bike.
Time to be a pioneer?

I'll go ahead and assume no one has a idea, and just drop this topic. I'll just find a KLX250 wheel some place.

Did a bit of looking around.
Checked out bikebandit to research OEM parts.
Found the 06 and 07 KLX250's use the same wheel. No KLX250 for the 05 listed. So I switched to the KLX300r
06
front-41025
Rear 41025B
07
front-41025
Rear 41025B
05 KLX300
front-41025
Rear 41025a
Can anyone confirm if there is a difference between the B and the A for OEM nomens? I'm not experienced with OEM descriptions. To me, it seems the same, just maybe rated slightly different?

Well, since I found the 07 rear, I just went ahead and bought the 05 KLX300 front. OEM part number matchers, as well as size. So should be a simple install.
But, suppose I'll see the final results in a week when they arrive..haha

got cha. Well I ended up getting the KLX300 front wheel, which matched the 07 KLX250's code, and I got a 07 rear wheel. Managed to get both for less than $300 in good shape. Should arrive next week
