Are you sure it's not a double, in which the second "jump" is actually intended to be used as a landing platform?

Well, I finally got up the guts to punch it over the two jumps. I hit the first one in second at about 1/2 throttle. Then there's a split second to get back on the throttle for the second jump. I am amazed at how soft these babies land. I spent a good hour going around in circles and hitting the 2 jumps. Thanks for all the tips, I'll get some video once I rig up a helmet cam.

just get your gear up to par first lol falls hurt! i've already done that on my street bike with no protection and it's not the most exciting lol. granted i only caught like 2 ft of air that i wasn't plannin on and the big bike threw me but you get the idea.

i was playing 'dirt bike' with my 750 when i first got it lol basically that says for itself lol.
progressively take the jump faster and faster and learn what you and ur bike can do and practice landing and leaning is my advice for it. practice to know what your doing before doin something stupid like some people i've met....

A couple of weeks ago I had a great time at the 24hr starvation ridge race,
bit it hard- bent the after market bars(cheap) but because of the armor -had no problems its a "gotta have"
I hit a couple of small jumps fast and wrong [:@]-I was staring down at the front wheel- remember to stay on the throttle ;most of the time it will save you I also hooked the seat with my heels- thats what saved me![]we got last but had a great time with no injuries!

ask josh, Someone very wise once told me if your unsure while your in the air from a jump or an unexpeced jump, just gas it, the bike will come out of it and straighten out, Patrick did that in NJ ride, huge puddle and he was down and back out of it before the water had time to rush back in....lol... it works just make sure you dont have an obsticle really close though...

when i had my crf 100 and was just learning how to jump getting the courage was the hardest thing for me. wat helped me learn was pretending i was still on the ground wen i was really in the air eventually, rather quickly i just got used to the fact that it wasn't as scary as i thought and started jumping bigger. also make sure to look down a littlt and see where you will land and just brace your legs for the landing til u get more used to it. it's not as bad as you think, trust me.

One of the best ways to learn how to jump is watch. Then follow that person at the same speed. Don;t think too much about it or you'll psyche your self out. Never let off the gas or your nose will dip and throw yourself over the bars. If your nose is to high, pull the clutch in and tap the rear brake. This will bring it right down.Total commitment is the best way. Find a small table top and hit it over and over again untill you clear it. Soon you'll get the feel of speed and balance and will become second nature.
