Jetting recommendations please?

Jetting recommendations please?
Hi all,
Looking for some advice on which jet sizes to use...
I'm at sea level near Vancouver BC, and ride up to 4000 or 5000 feet in the local mountains.
I'm preparing to do the following mods all at once:
- Muzzy full exhaust system (ordered from Starcycle but still waiting :-(
- DynoJet kit 2206.001 for KLX300
- Larger airbox snorkel (14073-1577 for KDX200)
- Remove smog crap
- Drill out breather hole at airbox
The dynojet kit comes with 120, 124, 128 & 132 main jets, and a needle and clips. (No pilot jet!!??)
I'm thinking of buying a 40 pilot jet (92064-1108).
And probably running the 128 or 132 mainjet... Anyone care to advise either way?
thanks a bunch,
Jason

RE: Jetting recommendations please?
Hey all, new here to the forum. I was wondering what dyno kit everyone was putting in their bikes. They have not made one specifically for the klx250 yet and it sounds like you all might be using the one for the klx300.
Jason, is 2206.001 the stock number for the klx300 dyno kit? And if so, all I would have to do is go to my kawa dealer and give them that number and I should get the right kit?
Thanks,
Steve

Did I hear Starcycle?? Good luck with that, they are horrible liars just trying to get your money. You might be lucky and get the pipe when the actually say they will ship it, but I HIGHLY doubt it.
Anyhow I have a White bros. Exhaust on mine. A KDX snorkel and a Uni air filter. I also have the Dyno KLX 300 Jet kit and use the 128 main jet, I believe that the E-clip is in the 3rd slot down from base (the base it the flat part on the needle, not the actually sharp point on the needle its self). Hope this gives you some guide lines.

r8d8ter - Yeah, DynoJet is confusing with their part numbers... It's either 011708 or 2206.001.

Thanks everyone else for the input... I'm going to do all the mods at once and try the 128 mainjet to start.
Yeah - I might regret buying from StartCycle... On the plus side, they have not actually charged my credit card yet.
(Which surprised me - I was fully expecting them to take my money right away and then leave me hanging for 2 or 3 weeks).
Whatever happened to customer service? I heard that StartCycle just got bought out by another California company. Anyone else hear that?

Here's an interesting blog post about some guy's first crash...
http://www.startriding.com/blog/ray/
It's near the end of his article that he says that Hang Time Motorcycles just bought Starcycle.
Let's hope it's true, and that they know how to run a business conducive to creating repeat customers.

I guess they have to had bought out starcycle then, because when I purchased the Muzzy pipe from them they charged my card as soon as I said the last number on the card.(never got the Muzzy long story, but got money back).
Good luck on the Rejet, the bike will run much much better, you will be tickled by the power gain, I was.
