cool. sorry for all the annoying questions. My plan is to add an FMF Powercore 4 muffler on it after the jet kit.

well normally i would be between about 1500-3500....i live in the mountains so it varies. Only issue is that i will be riding in moab some this winter (next month) which i think is at quite higher elevation. I will be ordering the klx300 jet kit this week....

No more easier than the 09 250 kit.

Looking back I would've just gotten factory stuff. I don't need all those jets out here in TX.

You will need to rejet a 2nd time when you put the muffler on.

ok. maybe I will install the kit and just wait until the I can order the pipe to ride it. Is there a good baseline as far as main and whatnot that I should start with when installing the kit?

there are plenty of guys in here that list their jetting. Find one that rides about the same terrain as you and use that to start.

I got the DynoJet kit and it comes with Dynojet parts (needle, jets, spring) and instructions.

I rejetted my new bike with the "Stage 2" jet (jets are the only difference between stage 1 and stage 2 and in the instructions they define it as having stage 1 as a stock bike, stage 2 with airbox and exhaust mods).

Worked awesome!!!

You can have two of the same exact year and model of bike at the same geographic location, and you may need to jet them differently. Just start by the dynojet instructions and go from there. You probably won't nail it on the 1st shot.
