I ordered it two weeks ago from Amazon for $255. After a week of it not showing up I emailed them, they had an error in their inventory and they don't
Have anymore in stock they are waiting for more to come in. I would cancel and reorder but the price now is closer to $290. If it takes much longer I will though.

Great. Thanks. Yeah, I saw the price jumped and started kicking myself for not ordering one earlier... Guess it wouldn't have done any good anyway. Hope it works out for you and keep us posted.

Here's an eBay listing for under 260.00 USD, and includes free domestic shipping:

I didn't read this thread so maybe this reply is out of line. If so, my apologies.

I don't think the carb above is the correct application. You want the one with the accelerator pump and turn-wheel for throttle cable/slide action.

Actually the carb listing IS for a TM36-68, the accelerator pump carburetor. Their text notes that the image may not represent the carburetor listing. The one in the image is a TM36-2. If they send anything but the TM36-68 pumper they would have to take it back for full refund since it would not match the description.

But rather than deal with it that way, if someone wants to buy the part listed, contact them and verify it is the TM36-68 accelerator pump carburetor. I would if it is a good buy.

I did that with a brake rotor, they had a rear rotor image, but listed it as a front rotor. I contacted them to verify it was a front rotor, it was and I bought it - $18 free shipping for a KLX250/300 front rotor.

If the part number is correct then it's the correct carb. Amazon has the same issue, the picture is not the actual carb and they also note the picture may not represent the actual item.

I see that now.
If they would have the picture correct, I would have ordered from them. I didn't look that close I suppose. Oh well . . .

Wow. I have an update on my order...

I ordered it through Amazon on 6/24/15, it was supposed to ship 6/25-6/26.
On 7/2/15 I had not received a confirmation of shipment so I emailed the vendor. Their response was there was an inventory error and they did not have it in stock and they would ship it when then get more in inventory. I figured no big deal, it shouldn't take too long.

Mind you, the price when I ordered it was $255, when I went back and looked the price was $288, now it looks like its back in the $260 range.

Fast forward to today (7/13), I send an email "any updates on the order?". I get basically the same reply but this time they said they are expected to get a shipment on 9/16/15, and if I didn't want to wait I could cancel my order.

So here is the reply I sent:
"So let me interpret your email. Because there is no way the lead time to get more inventory is 3 months. You guys discovered the advertised price was lower than what you want to sell it for so you pulled it from inventory and are claiming an "error". Now you can get existing orders cancelled and then mysteriously you will have stock again and then sell at the higher price.
I get it. That's fine if you want to play that game. You can cancel my order and I'll get it somewhere else because no one else seems to have problems getting it. I don't really care about the price difference, I just like ordering through Amazon.

I'll be sure to leave good feedback. Thank you though for prompt replies to my emails."

Here is the reply I received from them within about 5 minutes:

" This information is from the manufacturer, sir. I apologize for any confusion here, however it looks like the information had not been updated as your package has shipped recently. Tracking information generates within 24 hours of shipping and if there is anything else we can do for you please feel free to contact us"

I also get an email from amazon with a shipping confirmation.

lmao, I got a good laugh out of that.
