You can forget about those jet sizes altogether.
Start with a #128 or #132. Corrected for altitude.

So you took the main out and didn't look to see what size it was?
Mine was a #132. Sorry about the width!

So WestOZ, Your stock main jet was a 132, and you replaced it with what?
Or you didn't replace it?

This is true if you stick with the #35 pilot you can keep turning the screw out as far as you want and it doesnt richen up and its harder to start with #35. change to a #40 and its better, better low end response and better starting, you'll be much happier KA92064-1108

I've had the #40 in for a while. Runs a tad rich off idle to 1/4 throttle. Going down to a #38 (KLR650.) Worth a try.

Yeah i though the same thing, i'm thinking of moving my neede up to the 3rd position, cause the power doesnt kick in until about 6krpm

I'm running the stock AUS needle (N1RX) raised 1.5 mm. It's about right.
Just gotta tweak out the richness down low.
