Thumbs up Jarrahdale ride return, West AUS.

Hooked up with my mate Jason on Monday AM for a quick (7 hours) round trip from Mundaring to Jarrahdale and back. Dirt all the way.

Clocked up 270 km according to the lil' GPS, only 20 km on the slab. Jason is lovin' the Husky 510 on the trails, roost and drift anyone, despite the seemingly never ending warranty claims and the long wait for replacement parts.

The KLX is a true champ IMHO. Keeps on no matter what and perfect for the state forest trails that surround Perth. Caught the Husky out a couple of times too when the trail got technical and snail slow.

Not much editorial this time. Enjoy the pics.

BTW if anyone heads over this way I'll readily show em around.

Here's the basic route, although we took a detour early on and added quite a bit of tight single track on the way back as we forgot the GPS and just 'headed north'.

Awesome!
Interesting looking flora in all of these pics I see from Oz.
It's definitely not Kansas lol.
I hope to visit down under one of these days as I have a good friend that lives in Rockhampton.
Love the "road warrior" style pics when you're sitting in the burned out car!

Cheers!

Has a small 'down' when I high centered on a burnt out blackboy mid trail and found myself legs dangling with that slow mo' falling thing happenin'. "Where's the floor???" Bent the right rear signal (again) and number plate (again.) More scars.

Still, bike's still in better shape than this Pajero we found. Someone really wanted the head by the looks of it.

Great ride!

What was that thing the bikes were sitting on in the 2nd & 3rd pictures?

His idea not mine. Seems his euro thoroughbred is a little toey when it comes to stretches of slab more than 20 km. Service times in hours not km! I usually enjoy the 'ride in' as it gives me time to loosen up.

No matter! He was drivin' and payin' for petrol.

Nice back yard, true.
Summer's here now. Nothin, but sand and dust on the trails, and it doesn't stick (good coat of silicone spray.) Seriously, all the water has gone for another 6 months. Bring on the dust.
