I might be willing to spend a few bucks doing a graphic kits for a motard version or such, but dirt bikes are way too hard on plastic and decals IMO to spend a bunch of money on bling like that. I've seen some pretty nice graphics kits on dirt bikes used for real dirt riding, and frankly I think the bike looks worse after just a few mishaps and abrasions than the stock plastic looks after the same abuse. There may be nothing uglier than a bunch of scratched up decals as compared to "roughed up" plastic. If the graphics were a cheap purchase that could be reapplied occasionally, they would provide good protection along with good looks to the original plastic. However, these kits are almost always extremely expensive.
Maybe an alternative would be some of that vinyl wrap material that you see on work trucks/vehicles that some sign companies and body shops sell. Those kits are also somewhat expensive in a completed kit, but the material itself isn't too bad. You wouldn't have all the custom cut and fit panels to fit a specific bike, but the protection and "fresh" look of your bike could be maintained. I used some of this material to add highlights to my last KLR650, and it worked fairly well. I just cut some shapes and colors in different patterns. I had bought new, undecaled plastic parts to change the color from the original army green model that I hated. I saw one guy do most of a KLR650 with a roll of that vinyl material in a nice "tree leaf", camo pattern, and his bike turned out pretty cool looking. I bought a roll of that vinyl material for about $50 for a several yard roll. It will eventually get scraped up and abraded, but you can just peel it off and apply new material. It may not look as cool as a $300 graphics kit, but it serves a purpose and is affordable. Just a thought for an alternative.
