Default I've committed to buy a KTM 200XC-W

So I've been looking for a year for a 125cc 2T. Wanted it to have lights, realized that wasn't likely to happen after scouring CL for months.
As it happens, I always take a look at ADVrider's bikes for sale section, when yesterday up pops a 2009 KTM 200XC-W with a street title! It's more than I wanted to spend by about twice but it is ready to ride with all the needed farkles already in place.
So I just put a deposit on it!
I am so psyched!
I'm going to keep the KLX as my true DS and have a ton of fun beating the crap out of myself on the KTM on real trail rides and for races!

I've been walking around all day making ring-ding-ding 2T sounds. It's going to suck having it sit all winter taunting me to ride it! The snow has arrived!
I might have to go south for some ride time on it before spring!

You should make a walk around video when you get it, or at least take a bunch of pictures. I've always wanted a ktm 200xc

Congrats I bought a KTM 150xc about a month ago and I love it. It is really light and handles great. It also makes more low end torque than I thought it would. It's not street legal though but here in Arizona there still places to ride where you don't need to be. But like you I still have the KLX for a "true" dual sporter. Little two strokes are a blast. Enjoy your new bike!

Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY! My wallet will be a couple grand lighter, my hitch rack a couple hundred pounds heavier and I'll have an ear to ear grin.
I'll post pics or a video once I get it.
140 something hours and 2300 miles, I'll be the third owner I believe.

You are going to LOVE IT!!!

I put almost 2k miles on my 2000 200EXC since I've had it.. I've been riding the CRAP out of it.. It performs flawlessly every time. It rips like nothing I have ever ridden before...

I love my plated two stroke. The only reason I will ever sell it is to get a newer one... And I doubt that will happen anytime soon because I love this bike so dearly.

Six speed, 40hp and 215lbs?? YES PLEASE!!! You will find that the front tire is very light, and the rear tire wears out quickly hahaaaaa
For dual sporting, I get about 70 miles to the tank. I carry a Lucas Fuel additive bottle filled with Castor 927 and marked off for two gallons of gas.. So I have about a 150 mile range or so.. I've never needed all that... It will cruise at 55-60 no problem but I really only use it to get from my house to the forests around me... I haven't gotten any flak from the law either. I love this bike. Did I say I love the bike?!

You will love it.
