I prefer analog guages but I never clued in to the KLX until the '09 were out and the used market ('06 '07s) around here is non-existent.

Figures that it would fine at the dealer's. Have him make note of the complaint in writing, that might help even it it doesn't give up totally until after the warranty runs, you might still be able to get it replaced. Or just before the warranty runs out INSIST on a replacement.

Also you can spray and wash a battery jst like the rest of the bike I do it on two 4 wheelers and the bike as I keep my stuff clean and on all 3 the battery hangs out to the side and get washed like the rest of it, hundreds of washes and no issues.
