Default Installing oversized tank this weekend

So I got one of those IMS 3-gallon tanks on Amazon for $269. Just wondering if my 2009 Petcock needs a rebuild kit while I'm at it? I didn't bother to order one, and now I'm in a bit of a time crunch cause we leave on Thursday. Opinions, Thoughts?

I'm not sure that I understand. Is it working? How would your Internet friends know if your petcock was working properly more than you would?

If it is working properly, I'd just run it! Worked fine on my '09 with the big tank.

Petcock works. But you have to remove it and reinstall / reseal the gasket on the new tank. I'm probably overthinking it. But I'm sure it's overdue for a rebuild.

I didn't touch the petcock for my tank swap, just pulled the hoses off the tank. There was enough slack in the fuel lines to pull the tank up and then disconnect them.

Really easy to install. Helped having a friend to hold tank steady while working on it. Very happy. Range now 150 instead of 100. Not necessary to carry a Rotopax anymore.

Did you have any issues with bolts not lining up on the throttle side? I had to push mine down hard for the bolt to line up

No. Having a friend help line them up made it easy. Bolts in the back did not line up on the side covers and you're supposed to drill but I skipped that part. No problem.
