NO IT IS NOT REVERSE THREAD...it is standard thread...ie righty tighty, lefty loosey. you should be turning the nut counter-clockwise to remove, but as stated it's reallly reallly tight...it'll make a crack sound when it breaks free. Electric impactgun would be best and 6-point socket so as not to strip the nut. good luck, I'm sure you'll succeed.

Not reverse threads. If there's a will, there's a way: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_172752/tm.htm

When i changed mine I had to buy the breaker bar and the socket and I believe I also bought some liquid wrench penetrating oil...I don't know if it helped, but I'm sure it must have. Keep the bike on the ground, have someone (preferrably heavy) sit on it and press the rear brake while the second person works the breaker bar. That's how I got mine off, but now i have the electric impact gun..next time should be a breeze.

You have an issue with the washer if its that hard to get off. I found when mine was installed the washer fingers were mushed up into the backside of the nut. They should be flat and in the spline notches then run the nut up to the face and snug it to 92 ft-lbs. 92 ft-lbs should not require a 4 foot cheater on it, which is what I had to use the first 2 times until I noticed the bent fingers. Since then I've flattened those, and put a dab of antisieze on everything and I can take it apart solo with an 18" bar and me standing on the brake pedal with the bike on a jack. Also, it will be a bear to get off if the washer isnt' completely flat, go around it a few times with a screwdriver and a hammer then attempt to get the nut loose.

@92 ft-lbs an 18" bar only requires 60 lbs of pull on the end to break it free.

Y'all must not be eating your Wheaties. I took mine off by just twisting it to the left with my fingers. Admittedly I did have to use a rag to keep my fingers from slipping though. But then again I had stayed in a Holiday Inn Express the night before.

I love all the comments from the "Peanut Gallery"! It's raining today so I'll mix all your suggestions and give it another try!

When I changed mine I had my lovely (had to throw that in) wife sit on the bike in gear and the back brake on. She weighs 120 lbs and the nut came right off with a 14 inch 1/2 drive ratchet. Sounds like either the longer you wait to chage it the harder it is to get off or there is a lot of inconsistencies in the assembly plant.
