Default Installed linkage bolts backwards/opposite

While taking the moto pro spring off and putting the OEM one back, I realized I didn't install the bolts both facing the same direction. A nut screws off one side, and the other nut screws of the other side.

Does this really matter?

I also adjusted preload as far as it will go, and now I see that on rebound, it tops out or hits max extension. Will adjusting the rebound damper fix this?

It only matters to someone like me with a bad case of the OCD's IF it wee my bike not only would they have to both be facing the same direction, but the nuts would have to be in the same angle. .......I know I'm sick huh?

NO!

Time to get out the tools and do it right! Measure the distance from the rear axle to a point on the rear fender straight above the axle with the rear suspension FULLY extended. Now get on the bike, compressing the suspension, and have someone measure from the same points. You want the difference in those two measurements to be about 1/3 of the total possible rear wheel travel, or about 95mm. Adjust the spring preload to get that distance.

Ride on

I was thinkin about doing the same thing, on purpose, just so i could turn the shock clevis around so the rebound adj wasn't on the chain side. Opted not to because I didn't know if the bolts would clear the dogbones, never pursued it any farther. If they clear ok let us know.

The bolts/nuts I'm talking about are the ones that link the dogbones together. Two long bolts with a nut on each end. They are face opposite.

As for the sag etc, I'm trying to sell the bike so that is not as crucial for me. What would adjusting the rebound clicker do in this particular case?
