We moved this year and the KLX sat for 8-9 months. When I cranked the bike it would not run without the choke. I took the carb off to clean and installed a Dynojet stage 2 kit while I had the carb off. Removed snorkel, drilled crank vent, changed plug, oil and filter. Now the bike runs great! ...on reserve...it will not run more than a block on the main tank...switch it to reserve it cranks and runs great. Took the tank back off and checked the filter. It looks ok and sprayed carb cleaner thru it...not plugged. Still will not run off main tank and runs great on reserve. Best I can tell I have the hoses on properly, and gas flows on both main and reserve. Ideas? I also purchased 13T sprocket but can't get the nut loose, I did bend the washer back. Ideas here?

 

A bigger wrench or power tools for the sprocket.
I used an electric impact wrench, with the bike in gear, and the rear brake applied. Took about 2-3 seconds to come loose.
The reserve only thing...maybe triple check your fuel lines? That must be something simple. Petcock?

 

Thanks for the reply. I replaced the main hose and it works fine now. Small hole? Crimp? or something???
