Where did you folks order your 13tooth sprocket at? Could someone give me a link so that i may also order me up one? Thanx in advance..

 

ordered mine from cycle gear using the western powersports offroad catalog. brand is PBI sprockets. i've been using a sunstar 13t sprocket in the front but just received an e-mail from sunstar saying that they incorrectly listed this as a sprocket for our bike. oh well, its been working fine for me thus far. hopefully tommorrow will bring my 13t front, 47t rear PBI sprockets and new RK chain.

 

What was the part number of the Sunstar sprocket you used that they said was incorrect?

I did some looking ,inkawikathys photobucket and found a part number for moose racing sprocket, 1212-0198. guess if i just look i can find what i am looking for...

 

I put this Sunstar on our bike. I gave the local dealer the number and had him order it. It fit perfect.
Part number is Sunstar 34213

that's the one. my dealer ordered it for me also. i don't know why sunstar said it was incorrect, because mine also was a perfect fit, and has run with no problems (that i know of) for four or five months. this time i went in to the dealer after doing some research here and told them what i wanted to order with part numbers in hand. this seemed to work better than letting someone else order for me. also, since posting above, i revised my sprocket order to PBI 13 front/45 rear. i think 13/47 is a little drastic. i will find out next week when the parts come in, and i get a chance to ride.

 

Yes double thanks guys i ordered my sunstar and its in now i just gotta go pick it up, i'll hopefully get some pics of the carnage *putting in on * and some good riding with it on

this is the sprocket that you need. It has the all important shoulder that goes toward the engine when mounting. When you go to break the nut loose on the shaft, quickly jerk it and it will break loose. Do not slowly apply pressure as this does not work. A quick jerk and it comes right off.

Yep a real good hard jerk! I just went to the Kawi-Honda dealer and got a Moose 13T for a Honda XR650L which is a perfect fit for the KLX. Same one we put on KawiKathy's bike.

 

The guy at the parts place said the sunstar number you guys gave me was correct, ZOMG you guys freaking me out !!!![sm=dontgetit.gif]
