Default incabiker - Thank You!

incabiker,

On my recent trip to the plains of Tellico in Tennessee, I had an inspiration along with me.

Taped to the handlebars of my mighty KLX250S, I had the following picture to remind me of some issues that might be encountered in the area!

I must say having that there was quite a bit of help. I did not encounter one patch of similar goo. Any that I saw, I avoided. Thank you for providing inspiration to me on this trip!

That pic of one of our beloved KLX's is too painful to behold -- I try to avoid looking at it....[X(]

Ahahah, I'm glad I could save another KLX'r from this misfortunate mud bath . Sorry I haven't been posting latley, but I have been riding the hell outta the VTX!! The KLX I have only rode a couple of times. I just went all over north Georgia last weekend, I may have to pull her back out to hit all the fire roads in the mountains, there are a ton of them. The only thing that I don't like about the KLX is having to trailer it on to the N. Georgia mountains. On my VTX I can go from 75 MPH to 120 MPH in NO TIME!! Thats really where all the power lies in that thing, when going 75 and you blip the throttle, that things will pull really damned hard and catch you off gaurd if your not read for it. The last Highway trip I took I would have been killed on the KLX because of a semi and the way people were merging into my lane I had to gun it to get outta some cagers way, all this while going uphill at 75 mph, the klx would not have made it.

Tennessee doesn't have the same (la brea) clay pits Georgia is known for ...

Where did you meet him at?? That dude is one bad *** rider. On my very 1st ride in the mountains it was a huge group and they started to leave while I was puttin on my gear, I was like "Oh Shat" then I left and I couldn't find them. So I went back to the truck and started loading up and Dualsportwannabe came back to get me. He said to follow him and not to worry if he does anything crazy, so I said ok. Well, you all know how the mountain roads are, he road a friggin wheelie all the way down the twisties for close to a mile until we got to the trail head, I was blown away!! That guy is BAD ***!! and hes a really cool person too.

The Ride Shop in Woodstock. I dropped off my KX100 (they do commission sales) and He stopped by after spending all day hitting some roads/trails up Norh near Jasper.
