Re posting this from KLX 250/300 discussions on other sites: Since the 250 and 300 seem to share everything this could be an option for anyone looking for more range on your KLX. By no means am I 100% sure that the tank, if made, would fit both models but just based on the fitment of other after market things I would be inclined to think that a bigger tank would fit the same on both bikes.

For those that are interested in a larger fuel tank for the KLX, I reached out to IMS by phone to see if they would consider making something in a 3-3/12 gal tank. The short answer was that they " MAY" be looking at a bigger tank in "the next couple of months". To increase their (IMS) interest the possibility would be increased if they are receiving request for a larger tank. The person that I spoke with said that they have already been contacted by a few KLX owners requesting a bigger tank. If this is something that any of y'all would be interested in please reach out to IMS either by an email or...maybe better by a brief personal phone call.
