When I broke my wrist I had to learn to do every thing one handed, and with the wrong hand. It's unbelievable how many things you do with both hands, and it makes you appreciate having the use of two. I'm sure your wife will lend a hand if you need it
Worst part of all this will probably be the boredom of not doing anything for 6-8 weeks.
Got any X-rays? I was going to start an X-ray thread where every body could post their gruesome X-rays.

My cast has been off for almost 3 weeks now and still need more rehab.
All the tendons got so tight i cant believe what just 6 weeks of immobilization does to your body. this really sucks worse than the broken bone...

 

Yes, my right hand which is my dominant.. man, doing everythung w/left hand sucks!!!

Here's the best i could do for xray.. its a copy so the quality isnt very good to begunn with. that pic is lookin down on right hand while i had it on it's side like a karate chop.

You're going to need a set of those left-handed wrenches to use while the right hand is down . Stick with the PT when the time comes.

 

Well I'm no doctor but that joint doesn't look like it's lined up right. It's probably good that you got it fixed

That gauze ball on bottom of my hand is anchor point for string holding my tendon into the bone. And the pin goes through two bones to hold them toight.

NICE!! Your going to have some cool scars. It's crazy what they can do to put people back together. I gotta dig up the x-rays of my hardware.
