I have found that it's much easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission!
Forget the permission route.
... Cash flow is good to keep track of though
Did I mention "Forget about the permission thing"?

I used to keep a 50 or 100 dollar bill folded up real tight hiding in the wallet but she found out about that……… and all of a sudden there were lots of "emergencies"
she is a pretty typical person if she has five dollars in her pocket she'll spend it-

It is a balancing act to keep her happy and get all the other things you want out of life too.
You have a bike... I am sure you are doing great!

When I was younger I bought parts and left them in the shop. When my wife asked about them I would say, aw those I got them months ago. Worked for years. Might be a tough sell for a new bike though.

"Because I care" (sure..) and that "expreses my love to her..." (i guess)
But she will say "aw this old thing, its been in the closet forever..."
Good to hear it works for our side too.

Over the years I found out if I drool long enough she can't stand it. In 93 she bought me a XR 250 R and suprised me for christmas. Then did the bartering for the KLX. By the time she was done with the dealer they just wanted me to take the bike and leave. Of course whenever she wants anything within reason I make sure she gets it.
