To low of a boot to offer "true" off road protection. Go with the AlpineStar Vectors.

Yep, the Tech 6's are great boots but a little too stiff for my riding "style". It's too easy to break an ankle or bash your shin with those low boots you have in mind - when you go down on your bike, you'll be glad you have something taller - trust me!

Some previous threads say they are tough to shift with and hard to break in. Can't go wrong with the tech 10's though, no break in time but the replaceable sole is soft.

The Vectors feel like tennis shoes, I wear a size 11 and no problem shifting after I raised the shifter up a notch. The Tech 10's are excellent if you have the money and ride like a banshee off road!

Alpinestar has the best return policy out there. A friend of mine bought the tech 10 after shattered ankle surgery because of the ankle brace booty I guess you would call it. After 4 months of using a hammer to make sure the buckles were tight as possible, way too much I would say, only one buckle broke. But, he sent them back to alpinestars and said...it just broke! They sent him a brand new pair in box with no questions asked! How's that for service?

Mark, didn't Alpinestars replace your Vectors after that last crash you had?
