Your bike will run, but it will run hotter than it was really designed for. You are reducing the life of your motor by running it even leaner than stock. As a rule of thumb, any intake mods you do require rejetting. I've heard good things about the Dial-A-Jet system, it lets you switch jet settings on the fly without having to yank the carb, etc.
