Default I think I need a new rear shock spring

I weigh about 130 lbs and whenever I sit on the bike, the shock feels very soft to me and it makes the bike lower than I would like to sit. The seals are not leaking and they seem fine. I guess my question is do I need to just buy a stiffer shock spring? Moto-pro has them from 4.4kg/mm to 6.2kg/mm, I would think the 6.2kg/mm is the stiffest spring? I don't know much about suspension yet!

wow i'm about 230lbs or so and mine doesn't sag a lot. Have you tried adjusting the spring? Also does it have the stock linkage? I lowered mine and it was too soft with a 2" linkage, the 1" is fine for me.

The stock link is the bottom one with the tape measure over it, the 1" is above it and the 2" is at the top of the picture. The stock one has 117 stamped on it referring to 117mm between the holes

I actually have a pair of Koubalink lowering links that I've tried but they are too low. I'm trying to have the bike sit as high up as possible. I think I'll take a look at the shock spring adjustment, I forgot I could adjust it.

Definitely set your sag my Kouba links came with detailed instructions and don't forget to compensate by moving the front forks up also.

I'm not using the Koubalinks, Im using the stock ones because I don't want my bike lower, I want it to sit higher. Anyone know where to get a shock spanner wrench that will fit the klx?

And, my koubalinks are for sale if anyones interested.

I hear you gwalleye I hated the fact that I had to lower mine a little. As far as a shock spanner wrench goes most guys I know use a hammer and a good punch.

im 195 lbs and i have the moto-pro 6.0 rear spring. plug ur weight, riding style, etc into the "my bike" section of the moto-pro website and it'll tell u what you need. I think the 6.2 for you would be waaaaaaay to stiff...imo
