Default I think I finally got a job

After being unemployed since March, I think I am back in the sadle. It is time to replace the klx I had to sell when I have the offer letter in my hand!

Now, what to replace it with? I loved the klx but I dont want to spend 4g's on a bike and another 1200.00 buying the bb kit, exhaust, barkbusters, handlebars.. and so forth.

DRZ? maybe, I like the new DRZ in White, it looks cool when you get it muddy. KTM, not sure what they cost and stock they are way to tall for me..

Damn my parents for making me under 6'

I cant wait to ride again! I missed it! The weather has been incredible this summer!

wr250 or drz. they will cost more but should be alot more powerful stock than the klx (obviously more so for the drz). personally after riding the drz a little i love the torque and nuts it has, buts its to much for me to wrestle with including the extra ponies in the tight stuff.. id prob spend half the time picking it up as my inseam is 32"

RideLostTrails comin soon!

I've always loved the early 2000's WR450/426 with a dual sport kit. Or a later KTM 450 EXC.

One of those will probably be my next bike.

There are a lot of good bikes out there.
Road bias? DRZ400e or WR250r.
Dirt bias? Kato, Berg, CRf, WRf, KLX450. Or even a Kato 2 banger.
Man there is some good choices these days.

Congrats on getting back on the working horse.

Forgot about the Husky's.
Nice.

For what its worth the Husaberg FE570 just won the 09 bike of the year by ADB magazine. ADB would be the no1 dirt bike mag in Australia.

Go for the DR-Z400!
That looks like fun!

+1 on the white. I have the LT-Z400 (ATV in white), I always wonder what it would be like on 2 wheels, cuz it is a kick in the pants on 4.

Congrats on becoming a tax payer again

I made the mistake of riding a DRZ a couple of years ago, and all I could think of was wow, this bike has power, torque and its fast! I never got on another bike since. I love my KLX, but something about the DRZ 400 that still makes me wonder........

Start checking the Craig's List, poor economy means good deals out there.

The DRZ may as well be farm equipment. Plenty of other great options out there - Husqvarna, KTM, Husaberg, KLX450 (if you can get it plated), CRF450X, WR450, etc, etc. Don't discount the 250's either. Were I buying again right now, I'd seriously consider a 250, probably a KTM 250 XCF-W. No lack of power, but easier to handle in the woods. I'm still happy with my 450 EXC, though, it is phenomenally fun.
