Default I think I am done modding my klx

So,

I got my bike last summer and immediately tore into it. It had 700miles on it and the warranty was expired when i bought it.

Since then I have
Replaced the exhaust with the bigun full kit
Tried the pumper carb and did not see or feel any huge improvement so I sold it to ddt because I needed the money
Had my stock carb rejetted with the dynojet klx300 kit and put it back on the bike
replaced my stock cylinder with a klx300 upgrade
upgraded the fork springs
replaced the snorkle with the kdx220 snorkle
Added a K&N filter.
Replaced my stock handlebars with a set of gold Fly Racing bars

I just got my bike back from the dealer(They did the cylinder replacement and card rejet.) Now if only the snow ould stop and sun would come out and winter would end so I can ride it.

My last and final change will be a set of folding mirrors.

I thought the same thing... once upon a time. now you need barkbusters, shorty levers,ss brake lines, new gearing ect.ect. and that doesn't even take into account the **** you break.

Aint that the truth!

I think the barkbusters are a must. To OEM dumbo wings might be OK for tall grass, but other than that they don't protect very well.

Buffalony, you might as well list your mods on some ticker tape, cause it's so hard to stop. I'll bet the best you can do is take a short breather

The Surgeon General should put labels on these bikes.....
WARNING! Modifying your KLX can become habit forming!
Maybe you can start a twelve step program here at KF. LOL!

when you do those stainless steel lines you have to pre-fill them or use a mityvac otherwise you'll be pumping the brake levers for ever.

Ahh yes, sorry I for got I also put on MSR racing bark busters and guards.

Thanks for reminding me. Now if only I could figure out how to post pictures.

I do still need gear, I need a pair of boots.

Was thinking of taking the klx250s stickers off and having soming klx300s stickers made.

It seems to sound meaner with the 300cc upgrade.
