Make sure the spacers areon toplike Dave said, not between the needle & slide. Did you enlarge the slide hole with the included bit?

Sounds like you have the same setup as Dave. What elevation? Depending on the elevation & your Q4 you may to move the clip on the needle up position to the 3rd groove from top & try that (to lean it out a bit).

I live around 3100' , cant remember where i put my spacers, however i did take it back out and adjust my fuel screw , to 2 turns instead of 2.5, seems to have help it out quite a bit. If i remember right i slid my spacers on the needle longways, i did not set them on top of the clip. Yes i did drill my slide hole with the bit provided.I'm getting pretty quickat taking my carb out and putting it back in

Yeah, make sure the spacers are on top of the clip. Don't know if these are the same instructions but here is a pdf of the DJ kit I used.

The carb isn't too bad to remove, but installing takes a few extra minutes. Make sure the boots are line up in the keyed rubber slots too.

YES It is your problem. The spacers are raising your needle to high & making you too rich. Take the slide out & put them on TOP of the clip. It will be better--then set your screw back to 2.5 to re-establish a baseline. The DJ instructions are clear they go on top.

Perhaps you can remove the top without taking the carb off? Or just rotate it, remove top, adjust screw, & put it back? No need to remove the bowl this time.

True slide is on top, just lining , the needle back up be a beast. Good idea worth a try regardless.

Yes i , turned spacers around and moved clip to 3rd spot instead of 4th, took airbox lid all the way off, since i live at 3100 feet and depending on where i ride at i'm either right at or below 3000 feet... kinda a weird setup as of which jet to use , i stuck with the 132 instead of the 128, it still lacks ***** on the lower rpm (2k -3.5k) but once it hits 4k rpm it wheelies...since it is a street legal dirtbike , its gonna lack lower end ***** of say a 250 4 stroke off roader. But overall i am pleased with the performance gains, and i really appreciate all the advice and help you folks have given me. Regards
