Its great ain't it ? Maybe i'm just used the the iron seat on my 6r but i easily did 80 miles today before i started standing and adjusting the ummm ... junk and junk in the trunk.
Plus i saved myself about 20 bucks in gas compared to the jeep. I had to fill up twice, once just before the ride at $3.33 and again before i went home at $1.96. And theres no way i could have made the time i did in the jeep without risking a flat tire on the dirt roads or some serious suspension/steering wear.

I'm beginning to think the trip might have benn more fun on a Husky![/QUOTE]
It would've...at least on my Husky SM610 with a Renazaco Racing seat! I just rode my Husky on a 1,200 mile trip, and the seat was really comfortable. My longest day was 300 miles. The 610 is also very smooth, with very little vibration. The person who mentioned vibration had to be talking about the smaller DOHC Husky's. On the road, I'll always choose my Husky over the KLX. But for dirt riding, the KLX is awesome--feels like a feather compared to my Husky. I was looking for a do it all bike, but figured out that two is really the best way to go.

rode my 09 klx250s last sunday, 275 miles, about 1/4 of it off road. the seat had a gel seat pad velcroed to it, but, but my butt needed numerous rests. standing while cruising at about 65mph every few miles helped some. it's a great little bike, off road, but i'd rather have been on the my klr, instead. it was an adventure, though, and that's why we ride these bikes, right?
