I need to loose the 'hanging chad' / 'hanging turd' in my fender and was thinking about replacing it with the set up you have. That looks awsome!!

 

Sand blasting does brittle aluminum as well but for the end cap of a muffler it doesnt really matter to much.

I put this on to get the license plateabove the fender it tends to stay a bit more cleanon top, and the license plate lightkept filling up with mud and crap,,,, dont know how that happened.....hehe

Probably not, but someone was having trouble with the rivet holes breaking on the muffler and vibration or harmonicsworks a hardship on metal. I had an old tm 400 suzuki that shookthe expansion chamberto pieces about every other ride. Anyway it was just a thought.

 

Not sure about the anodizing on the bg end cap,but back in the day of bmx racing we would take the color off of anodized alum with easy-off oven cleaner. Just sprayit on, wait a little while and rinse, then polish. Just my two cents for what it's worth.

 

Of course, you could always go GREEN!!
