Here's a Google Earth KMZ file if you want a tour of the Nate Harrison route: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B2y...Y3dPTmxDNk1mZw

Here's info on the pavement loop: The Palomar Mountain Loop | California Motorcycle Roads and Rides | MotorcycleRoads.com

I read someones trip report on the San Diego DS site. We have a ton of backroads out there, but it's hard to tell which are public, private, open, or closed.

Here's my next trip with Black Canyon: College Blvd to College Blvd - Google Maps

The way my life is, it' probably won't happen til June.

Ha! It's July and still haven't made the other run. I did do the Nate ride again. Once I finished the first loop, I did it again. I lost my cooler somewhere along the way. Saw some deer and a wild fire. Fun day for sure.

I'm jealous. Can't even get 80 miles without hitting the reserve. I suppose the D606 might be a little larger in diameter but it still sucks.

Very short range on a stock tank. I was dam hopping on the columbia river last week and could barely make it from town to town.

135 mile when I have to hit my reserve. Have gotten close to 145 miles on the tank but never ran it dry. 3 Gallon tank is nice.

I pulled 200 out of the Acerbis tank once, fully loaded on an over-nighting DS trip. She was probably getting close to fumes at the gas station.
