Default I got my dunlop 606 tires and pro taper bar!

I went to the dealer today and they had the 606s(front and rear) in stock. So I decided to pick those up, along with moose heavy duty tubes, pro taper cr high bend bar and an alpinestar bionic knee guards. I didn't get any rim locks cuz I didn't want any wobbles on the highway.
I installed the tires today and road it on the street and on the freeway. I was worried I was gonna get some wobbles with these tires but they felt great even on the freeway. The only thing I didn't like, is the lost of power due to increase in tire size. My old rear tire was almost bald. I also installed the pro taper bar today and they felt better for me (I'm 5'7) I felt comfortable standing up and the bar is wider than the stock one. I will post some pictures tomorrow!
I'm still deciding whether I should get the 351 big bore kit or save my money. I am kinda broke right now! Hey Slapdrum and Bp88, we should plan a ride this weekend! It's supposed to rain!

I would change the gearing but I don't want my rpms to get any higher than it is now at 65mph. I have stock gearing by the way. Man....my paragraphs are all messed up! It's all my blackberry's fault!

Sounds awesome! I'm trying to hurry up and burn off my 606 tires... they're not off-road enough for me... they're a great dualsport option and I can't complain because I've got a LOT of miles on mine, but I want something more sticky in the woods. I went with the Pastrana FMX bend for my ProTaper bars because they were about the highest bend with the closest to stock pullback. I'm 5'9 but I was very hunched over with the stock bars. Now it's easier to stand up, and when I'm sitting down, the bars are in a better position to use my shoulders to steer instead of my arms.

I have never had this wobble that some speak of, maybe its the aerodynamics of my mudflaps that help. Yea that's the ticket. The 606 in my opinion is the perfect DS tire. Anything more aggressive and you'll be changing tires every other month, less aggressive and you'll be looking for a way to go around mud and water holes.

I'll probably doing 40% dirt and 60% street, so I think these tires will be good for me. Here are some pictures as promised!

Be careful on the street with the D606's. I rode on some rain grooves on I-10 and it was all I could do to keep the rubber side down. Cracks that run the same direction as my path of travel are hazardous as well.

On a positive note, I really like how the 120 width rear locks up offroad. The tire is a little heavy and slightly larger so, acceleration is down but traction is way up.

Looks good JPaul.

Riding... Well, I wiped out on Tuesday. Not on the bike. On my kids push scooter.

I was taking the dog for a run down the street; on the scooter. We were hauling the mail down the street and the dog made a quick right (a lizard or some such thing caught her attention) and the leash snagged the scooter right too. I continued on straight. I crashed doing about 20mph. Ouch!

I wish I had my bike gear on... Bumps and bruises and road rash... Left shoulder, Left hip, and left side of the head.

I am glad I had put on a sweatshirt over my t-shirt, and I changed into Jeans (not shorts). Or I would be seriously screwed.

Big ugly bruise on my hip. My head is ok, it was minor. But I have a hard time lifting my left arm over my shoulder, it is really stiff and a gallon of milk is really heavy right now

It is getting better and better every day, but I'll need to take the weekend off.

Darn Dog!

Hey Chris, I read your post again and I cringed! Ouch! I can just imagine! That's almost the same as crashing on a bike!
