I WAS going to get a 331 kit until.......
my kawi dealer said it would take 6+ hrs to do at $86.00 per hour....I know, I know..do it myself..not happening.( I changed the spark plug on my cr125 and was impressed). does it really take that long? entire motor gets removed? I just dont want to pay for the kit 2x in essence. who wants to do it for me at a discount?

You may want to talk to a small engine repair place or even look on CL for small engine repair techs looking for work. I bet you can get it done a lot cheaper.
Just for curiosity sake I looked on my CL under services and found lots of small engine repair places looking for work.

Parts of your warranty would still be good as they would have to prove your engine work caused whatever problem you were having. So yea engine and clutch issue would be out but other issues would still be covered by law.

6hrs!! That right there tells me their mechanics are incompetent!
haha
I think it took me 4hrs my first time with basic hand tools and reading the walkthrough on here..
Second time when I had to replace my bottom end, I did the cylinder/piston swap in about 2hrs. It should take a mechanic at a shop with proper tools no more than 3hrs max.. And you don't need to remove the motor to do it. Sounds like they're trying to take you for a ride.
If you can get your bike to CT we'll do it in my garage if you buy me and my wife dinner. hahaa
