We'll see when it gets here. I'm not expecting anything. It could be a chunk of nikasil that came off or it could be a chunk of lint.

It's scratched up pretty bad in the bore. It looks like a ring broke into pieces and made deep scratches in the bore. It looks like 2mm over will clean it up.

Just for kicks I used my calipers to measure some distances on the water jackets of both this jug and the 250 jug. Exactly the same. There are subtle differences in the castings here and there but they're really the same part, one with a 72mm bore and one with a 78mm bore. Now what to do with this $200 boat anchor.

Send that F#cker back. Why would someone sell you something like that without disclosing the problem. What a pain.
Good luck

From the description, it sounds like they'll take care of it.

For what you paid...send it back for sure. Even if the seller won't go good on it, ebay buyer protection should cover you.

I already know how that will all go down. "Man, it like says it's got scratches in the description and stuff." he'll say. I'm going to eat it. I can get a Wiseco 80mm piston and ring set and there's a place in the east side of Madison that can bore and plate it. Or if I could get a 330 piston kit somehow and have it bored and plated to that. Maybe just send it out to Kustom Kraft and have them do the whole thing with gaskets and everything.

I'll send the guy who sold it an email and see what he says. See if he'll take it back.
